What are the requirements to join the class? 

To summarize what is needed, students need to:

  • Pass an entrance exam
  • Fill out enrollment paperwork
  • Do a background check
  • Do a physical
  • Get a tuberculosis screening test
  • Pay your enrollment fee in advance and pay all tuition fees before starting class
  • SEASONALLY FOR STUDENT ENROLLMENTS BETWEEN OCTOBER 1 AND APRIL 1: Get a flu vaccine

How long are the classes?

Day Classes are 3.5 weeks , they run Monday – Friday, 8:30am-3:00pm.

Evening classes, running from 4 PM to 9:15 PM, 5 weeks total. Classes run from Monday through Thursday.

 

What days and times does the course take place?

Do you offer evening classes?

Yes! We offer day classes in person from 8:30 AM to 3 PM Monday to Friday and now offer evening classes from 4 PM to 9:15 PM!

 

Do you offer online or virtual classes?

No. All classes are done in person at our school location as well as the clinical location.

Is the class free?

No, the class is not free. The class costs $1845.

 

How much are the classes?

Our normal price is $1845. This includes all educational materials including books and scrubs.

 

Is there financial aid available?

No, financial aid is not available.

 

Do you offer classes in languages besides English?

CNA classes are only offered in English. This is due to state regulations that require all CNA classes to be completed in English.

 

I have obligations during the course. Am I allowed to miss any course days?

To meet state regulations, students must complete all 100 hours of the course. Therefore, students generally cannot miss any part of the course. If you have any obligations during the course being offered, you may want to consider alternate course start dates or a different School schedule that might meet your needs.

 

How does the payment plan work?

The company no longer offers a payment plan. All course fees must be paid in full before your classroom’s start date.

Do I need a high school diploma or GED?

A GED or high school diploma is NOT required. All students are required to complete a 20 question entrance exam at the office to ensure the student meets the English language comprehension needs of the program as well as a math examination.

  • Morning classes available and start every 4 weeks.

Spring Garden location (448 N. 10th St., Suite 401, Phila, PA 19123)

  • Morning classes start every 2 weeks
  • Evening classes start every 3 weeks

 

What do I need to bring with me for registration?

You will need your $250 enrollment fee, two forms of ID, your COVID vaccination card (or have a declination form completed). Also, be prepared to take an entrance exam when you come in. The whole registration process should take between 30 minutes and one hour.

 

Is there parking nearby? 

for the 448 N 10th st location There is a variety of nearby street parking (free). Additionally, there are several pay lots nearby as well as numerous public transportation options.

For the 1201 Darby the place has is own parking at the establishment.

 

What other requirements are needed?

All students must have a state background check run before starting. Additionally, students must complete a tuberculosis test and physical done on our form. These forms and instructions can be found under the “Resources” section of our website under “Documents and Forms.” The results of background check, tuberculosis screening test, and physical must be completed before your course start date.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, and Cash App. Credit cards can also be accepted for a 3 percent additional fee.

 

Where are clinicals held?

Clinical sites vary, but currently clinicals are held near the school’s location in Philadelphia, PA.

 

Where can I go to do the Physical and TB Test?

The tuberculosis (TB) screening test and physical can be done at a variety of places, including with most of your family physicians or primary care physicians (PCPs). We recommend and work with several local urgent care facilities that can get results back quickly, including Vybe Urgent Care and also AFC Urgent Care

How do I do the background check? 

For the State of Pennsylvania background checks, please reference our step by step guide here. You can also find the instructions on our website under “Resources” and then “Documents and Forms.” For State of Pennsylvania background checks, fingerprints are not required.

 

When do I need to do an FBI background check? 

If you have lived in Pennsylvania for less than two years, you will need an FBI background check in addition to the state of PA background check. For the FBI background, fingerprints are required. Please reference the instructions for running and scheduling an FBI background check or you can find the instructions on our website under “Resources” and then “Documents and Forms.”

 

How does the state test work?

Once a student successfully completes the program, they are then eligible to take the state exam through Credentia 365. Students must graduate from the program before they are eligible to take the state test.
